Payroll Officer

The Payroll Officer shall be responsible for all tasks in processing payroll, including, but not limited to;

·        Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently;

·         Collecting, calculating and entering data in order to maintain and update payroll information;

·         Compiling summaries of earning, taxes, deductions, leave and non-taxable wages and reporting on this;

·         Determining payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income, social security taxes, and employer’s social security and workers compensation payments;

·         Resolving payroll discrepancies;

·         Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures;

Requirements:

·         O’ level standard of education;

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Maltese and English;

·         Deadline focused;

·         Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy;

·         Strong organisational skills;

·         Knowledge of general payroll practices, procedures and legislation would be considered an asset;
