Government Grants

From time to time the Government through Malta Enterprise, the EU Funds’ Division and other of its institutions provides government grants, tax credits, forms of aid and support measures through their online portals. Here at Ennesse we have promoted several of these opportunities to our clients and encourage them to take advantage of these benefits.

The micro-invest scheme has been a very popular scheme, which has enabled several businesses to benefit from a 45% tax credit upon any investment in furbishing costs, a new or first used in Malta second hand vehicle, incremental wage spends and investment into new equipment and machinery, always subject to a list of parameters which need to be met.  After submitting the application, Malta Enterprise, in fact, proceed to issue a tax credit certificate, which can be availed for a period of between 3 to 5 years, against the tax due on the profits of the business for those years.

EU Funds are also available for start-up organisations and for those seeking to expand their business.

Manufacturing Aid

When it comes to the manufacturing sector, Malta Enterprise encourages this industry and in fact provides the Investment Aid Tax Credit scheme as well as attractive rents for the leasing and allocation of factory space in Malta.  These both require applications to be filled in online with the help of our level of expertise in this sector.  There also exist start-up grants, training grants, employment grants and other grants or tax credits which are issued along the years by the government institutions.
